Civil War
The Civil War began in 1946 after Chiang Kai- shek and Mao Zedong attempted to come to an agreement. Years of mistrust led to the Civil War in China. In October of 1949, Mao proclaimed the establishment of the PRC, People's Republic of China, ending the Civil War and forcing the Nationalists to flee to Taiwan.
